Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is one of nation's largest food drives that Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, and Venturing Crews participate in to support their local food pantries and hunger-relief agencies.

The Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council have continuously exceeded expectations and fully stocked dozens of our partner agencies with bags and bags of canned food.

Please sign up for Scouting for Food with the form below and after your collection please make sure to fill out the results and submit your results.  The sign up form is important so we make can make sure that units aren't going into the same neighborhoods.  The results form is important so we can keep track of and publicize in the local media outlets the awesome service our units are doing for the community. 

After you have submitted the form you can pick up your Scouting for Food hangers can be picked up at your local Scout Service Center

On November 2, 2024 and November 3, 2024 Scouts and Leaders will be out in Atlantic, Ocean and Cape May Counties putting out Scouting for Door Hangers, provided by the Trinity Solar, to as many houses as possible. Units keep track of the area their unit distributed the Scouting for Food door knob hang tags.

On November 11, 2024 and November 11, 2024 the Scouts and Leaders return to same neighboorhoods to collect the generous donation of food by the good people of our communities and delivered to your designated foodbank or distribution center.  Scouting units count how much food they collected and report back on the results form page.
