Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is one of nation's largest food drives that Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Crews participate in to support their local food pantries and hunger-relief agencies.

The Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council have continuously exceeded expectations and fully stocked dozens of our partner agencies with bags and bags of canned food.

Please sign up for Scouting for Food with the form below and after your collection please make sure to fill out the results and submit your results.  The sign up form is important so we make can make sure that units aren't going into the same neighborhoods.  The results form is important so we can publicize in the local media outlets the awesome service our units are doing for the community. All forms should be sent to Jerome.Townsend@scouting.org

After you have submitted the form you can pick up your Scouting for Food Bags can be picked up at your local Scout Service Center

 

Bag distribution – Saturday, November 4, 2017 or Sunday November 5, 2017

Food Collection – Saturday, November 11, 2017 or Sunday, November 12, 2017

 

On November 4, 2017 and November 5, 2017 Scouts and Leaders will be out in Atlantic, Ocean and Cape May Counties putting out Scouting for Food collection bags to as many houses as possible. Please keep track of the area your unit distributes the Scouting for Food bags.

On November 11, 2017 and November 12, 2017 the Scouts and Leaders will again be out to collect the generous donation of food by the good people of our communities and delivered to your designated foodbank or distribution center.
