America is having a birthday and you are invited!

To celebrate America's 250th year we want you and your troop to flaunt that American spirit!

What Is Klondike

This year, T39 Brick has re-imagined how we do the Klondike Derby. We still kept the traditional stations in the morning, but this time everything is a competition. You and your patrol will try to win it all, the Klondike Cup! From your scout skills to your scout spirit, every aspect of your team can affect the score. Does your patrol have what it takes to rise above the rest in star-spangled victory?

Compete by patrol in various scout skills like orienteering, firebuilding, skits and so much more! 

Each unit will prepare a station to be run by leaders in the morning while the scouts are out competeing. This year everything is worth points, performace, scout spirit, adherence to the theme, even your campfire skit.

New this year lunch will be included on saturday. Hot dog, Hamburgers, Beverage, and Chips. Dietary restrictions are encourged to plan accordingly.

Where: Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation (229 Brookville Rd. Barnegat, NJ)
Check In Time: Starts at 4:30p.m. Friday January 23th in the Welcome Pavilion in the Parking Lot
Cost: 

• Unit  Fee = $20 per unit
• Adults = $8 per Leader
• Scouts BSA / Venturing/ Ships = $15 per Scout
• Extra Patches = $3 per patch
• Late Fee (after January 9, 2026) = $15 per person

Friday January 23th 

You can begin to set up camp after 4pm. Please bring your unit roster to The Welcome Pavilion on arrival. There will be a 9pm leaders meeting in the Dining Hall for Scoutmasters and SPLs.

Saturday January 24th

8:30am Parade field for opening

9:00am Stations Begin

12pm Lunch 

1pm Intermural competions begin

8:00pm Campfire and awards

 

Event will be judged on Troop Adherance To Theme, Patrol leadership, Participation, Ingenuity to solve tasks and Actual skill completion!
