The Lighthouse Award- The lighthouse award is an award supplied by the district and presented by the units to a volunteer within their unit that goes above and beyond the call of duty.  The lighthouse stands as a beacon and so should your award recipient.  Each unit is allowed to choose one adult scouter for the award.  The choice should be made by the unit committee, and not just the unit leader.   Unit supplies the name of the recipient, and the district supplies the award: a bolo with a lighthouse and a certificate.  Unit personnel are required to present the award, which is given at the district dinner.
