FAA Scout STEM Day

The 4th Annual Scout STEM Day – August 27, 2024

Hosted at the FAA Technical Center through the AvSTEM Program

Tentative Merit Badge offerings/8:30 a.m. start time

This event is only open to Scouts BSA Youth 

MUST BE US CITIZEN

Earn a Merit Badge, while learning about the FAA and aviation technology 

Aviation Merit Badge

Programming Merit Badge

Robotics Merit Badge

Engineering Merit Badge

Space Exploration Merit Badge

 

Once registered, prerequisites for each Merit Badge will be emailed to registrants

Class lengths vary, one class per Scout

Due to the logistics involved, we cannot provide precise ending times for the Merit Badge classes. We ask that you be flexible and be available to pick up your scouts. We will do our best to notify parents approximately 1 hour prior to the class ending. For reference, in previous years, the programming, engineering, and aviation Merit Badge classes ended at approximately 3:00pm. The Space Exploration class takes longer and lasted until around 5:30pm. This is the first year offering Robotics.

Registration costs includes lunch: half a sub, chips and a bottle of water

By registering please be aware, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has my permission to photograph me or my child, individually or in a group, while on FAA’s property. I understand that the images may be used in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
